Congratulations, you've reached Jim George's webpage. Here you can find information on my programming and electronics projects, as well as lyrics to a couple of songs I like.
I was born on 9th December, 1979. I stay in Bangalore, India. I like to
read, listen to
music, hang out with
friends,
program computers to do fun stuff and build little
electronic gadgets when I can. Wait! I almost forgot, I like
First Person Shooters, especially
Unreal Tournament. I've made a couple of maps for UT, which you can grab from the
Misc. page. I also try my hand at various graphics and illustration programs, and on occasion, come up with something decent.
I've completed a course for a Bachelor's degree in
Electronics Engineering at the
RV
College of Engineering, Bangalore. I used to work for
DRDO. I'm now at
Colorado State
University, Fort Collins, CO, to get an M.S. in Electrical Engineering. I work
at the
CHILL Radar site, operated by CSU.
This site used to be just another exercise in HTML, with little content worth looking at. I plan to change that now, by including these sections:
- Programming, containing some of the things I've programmed. My languages of preference are C and Assembler, with some C++. I've also done some stuff in Basic (hell, everyone once did!) but they are not included here.
- Electronics I've been interested in electronics for as long as I can remember. The interest didn't bloom into anything much, until I joined college. Since then, I've built a few small projects, which I've done my best to document here, for anybody who'd like to try something similar.
- Lyrics When I listen to music, it often seems quite pointless to me unless I know what I'm hearing. I've hence included lyrics to songs here. Most of these are for songs I have heard, a few have been contributed very generously by some of the visitors to this site.

Am I the most lazy person in the world or what? Aside from watching a lot of TV, playing lots of UT2003 and getting all caught up in the apply-to-US process, I haven't been doing much. But why can't I get off my butt and add more to these pages? I've completed another quite interesting project, it's a controller board for a graphic LCD which doesnt have it's own controller (like a T6963 or something). If anybody's interested, please send me mail, it might get me out of this rut. Besides that, I think I'll just sit here and rot.

GIF files are evil!!! Besides, PNG files offer better compression and a more intelligent interlacing option. Unisys, stick that up your pipe and smoke it!
